This smoothie is a sit-down breakfast in one sip. No really, it includes oats and almond butter to keep you full, coffee to keep you awake and fruit to brighten your day.
I used this compote at the bottom, swirled it into the mocha breakfast smoothie and it pretty much made the smoothie. I reckon this strawberry-rhubarb jam would be amazing too. If you’re in a pinch a handful of berries muddled at the bottom of the glass will work just as well.
Mocha Breakfast Smoothie
- 1/4 C oats
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 C coffee
- 1 C almond milk
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp Stone Fruit Compote / Rhubarb Jam
- Combine everything except the compote in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Divide the compote or fresh berries between two glasses. Pour the smoothie over it. Swirl it and drink.
