For those days you want an egg and a bowl of oats. Not the most common combination but it’s delicious and incredibly filling. Save this for mornings when you’re appetites ravenous.

Protein Boosted Savoury Oats [Gluten and Dairy Free]

Adding an egg to oats before cooking them leads to the creamiest bowl of oats you'll have! Top it with a poached egg, avo and strawberry and you have a hearty savoury style breakfast

Dietary: Dairy Free, No Added Sugar, Vegetarian
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten free)
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • pinch Salt

Toppings

  • 2 poached eggs
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • fresh strawberries sliced

Instructions

  • Combine oats, water, eggs and salt in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer on medium to low heat. Let simmer until the water is just absorbed and the oats have thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Divide between 2 bowls and top with avo, strawberries and a poached egg.
