Every Friday night we do cocktail hour, which means there’s a weekly challenge to whip up a new cocktail. This watermelon margarita was born out of a watermelon that was meh – flavored more like water, less like melon. When life gives you a meh watermelon, blend it with lime, silver tequila and a splash of agave to make a watermelon margarita.

Agave is a natural sweetener which is perfect for cocktails. I use this one which is specifically for cocktails. I get it from my favorite Mexican store – Azteca

For the salt rim, I opted for chili lime for some heat. You can use tajin or Woolworths also sells a chili lime salt (look for it next to where they keep the taco shells, salsa and salsa seasoning). Alternatively, use regular salt.
