This energy shake is a quick and healthy afternoon pick me up packed with nutrients. Freshly squeezed orange juice and spinach gives you much needed Vitamin C, making it great for fighting the change of season colds.

The pure matcha powder (I use this one from Get Matcha), which gives this shake that green tea taste, helps increase your energy levels, boost concentration, detoxes and provides anti-aging antioxidants.

My favourite time to drink this is in the afternoon instead of another cup of coffee, and it takes just as long to make. I wanted it more shake like than smoothie like so I used a fresh banana, but if you want it to be creamier, use a frozen banana.

 

Orange Matcha Energy Shake

A matcha Orange Energy shake that's packed with nutrients to give you a boost of energy.

Servings: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 C orange juice freshly squeezed - aprox 2-3 ornages
  • 1 C baby spinach
  • 1 small banana peeled and sliced
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 3 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add everything to your blender and blend until smooth

Notes

Always add liquid first into your blender and then the rest of the ingredients for the smoothest blending process.
To avoid the matcha becoming clumpy, sift it through a mini sieve into your blender.
