Idris starts reading Claudia’s profile out loud, but Jen can’t hear him because all she can hear is the rush of her heartbeat in her ears. She has a split second to say something – to declare a conflict of interest, because she knows Claudia. More than knows her. She keeps her mouth shut.

In a nutshell

One morning, police diver Jen Harper wakes to find herself submerged in the river with no memory of how she got there. Forty-eight hours later she’s called to dive into the same river in search of a missing woman. A missing woman that Jen has decades worth of history and unresolved resentment with. She hasn’t seen Claudia for twelve years, or has she?

Book Club Notes

For the first few pages into this book, I was not particularly feeling in the mood of reading it. However, it so quickly pulled me in, that I had to complete it in a day. This is a fantastic thriller with twists and turns. The pieces slowly come together to create an engaging and interesting story to solve. If you read my review for Exiles, this book is everything that wasn’t.
